Netflix just debuted its Pride and Prejudice teaser, giving fans their first look at Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, played by Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden. With the series set to arrive in Autumn 2026, the streaming giant is betting big on a faithful, swoony return to Jane Austen’s most iconic love story.
Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy Step Back into the Spotlight
This new Pride and Prejudice adaptation promises a classic approach that still feels fresh, especially with Corrin bringing sharp wit and heart to Elizabeth and Lowden channeling Darcy’s icy restraint and slow-burn intensity. Netflix is clearly aiming for both longtime Austen loyalists and newcomers who are ready to fall into the romance for the first time.
A Creative Team Built for Big Feelings and Bigger Chemistry

Writer and executive producer Dolly Alderton, known for Everything I Know About Love, called the novel “the blueprint for romantic comedy” and said she loved finding both familiar and new ways to bring the story to life. Euros Lyn directs the limited series, adding more regency heat to a resume that includes Heartstopper.
Netflix stacked this six part event with serious talent. Olivia Colman steps in as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell plays Mr. Bennet, and Fiona Shaw takes on the formidable Lady Catherine de Bourg. The Bennet sisters come to life with Freya Mavor as Jane, Rhea Norwood as Lydia, plus newcomers Hopey Parish as Mary and Hollie Avery as Kitty.
Jamie Demetriou appears as Mr. Collins, Daryl McCormack plays Mr. Bingley, Louis Partridge takes on Mr. Wickham, and Siena Kelly joins as Caroline Bingley.
When You Can Fall Back in Love with Austen on Netflix

Netflix will release Pride and Prejudice as a six part limited series in Autumn 2026. For now, the teaser is the first taste of what looks like a crowd pleasing, beautifully cast return to Austen’s world, with the kind of buzz that already has eagle eyed UK fans talking after spotting the teaser on the big screen last week.
