The latest trailer for Good Fortune has arrived, and it’s a clip that puts Keanu Reeves’s bumbling angel Gabriel on blast. In the scene, Sandra Oh’s character lays into the well-meaning but hopelessly misguided celestial being. Making it clear that heaven isn’t exactly sending their A-team.
Heaven Can’t Help This Guy
Reeves plays Gabriel, a divine figure who has more enthusiasm than competence. Sandra Oh’s character doesn’t mince words, calling out his failures in brutal fashion. The tension between celestial optimism and earthly reality drives the film’s humor, and this scene is a sharp reminder that even angels aren’t safe from being held accountable.
Credits to the Creators

Written and directed by Aziz Ansari, Good Fortune is a cosmic comedy about what happens when an angel interferes with human lives for all the wrong reasons. Gabriel thinks he’s doing the Lord’s work, but his plan to swap the lives of a struggling gig worker and a wealthy venture capitalist only adds to the chaos.

The film stars Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen, Keanu Reeves, Keke Palmer, Sandra Oh, and features a surprise appearance from Keanu’s ability to play clueless with heart. Ansari also produces alongside Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang, with additional production credits from Aniz Adam Ansari, Jonathan McCoy, and Christopher Woodrow.
Good Fortune, A Fall Comedy with a Higher Purpose

Good Fortune mixes divine comedy with social commentary, using sharp dialogue and absurd situations to explore class, purpose, and the messiness of human (and angelic) intervention. If this new trailer is any indication, Sandra Oh is here to bring structure to the chaos.
Good Fortune opens only in theaters on October 17, 2025, courtesy of Lionsgate.
