Amazon Music just dropped “Like a Drum,” a thunderous new Amazon Music Original from RZA that hits as hard as its placement in The Wrecking Crew. Written and produced by RZA alongside his son Rakeem, the track was created specifically for a pivotal action sequence in the upcoming Prime Video film starring Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa, which premieres globally on January 28, 2026.

“Like a Drum” was developed after early creative conversations between director Ángel Manuel Soto, producer Jeff Fierson, and RZA, then refined to lock in with the scene’s rhythm and emotion. As RZA puts it, “When I approach a song for a film, I’m thinking about the story, the characters, and how the sound can amplify what audiences feel in that moment.
With ‘Like A Drum,’ I wanted something that wasn’t just heard, but felt, something that moves with the energy of the sequence and speaks to the emotional heart of The Wrecking Crew.”

RZA and Rakeem built a cut that bridges pulse and purpose, shaping a cinematic hip hop sound that can stand on its own while elevating the on-screen chaos. “From the very beginning, we knew this film needed a musical voice that could carry the weight of the story and reflect the energy of our characters,” said Ángel Manuel Soto.

“We wanted an original song that was reflective of old school hip hop, something that bridged the rock ‘n’ roll and hip hop styles of our two main characters and RZA was the perfect partner.”
