Tempest Trailer Reveals a High-Stakes Global Conspiracy in Hulu’s New K-Drama Thriller

Hulu has dropped the official trailer and key art for its upcoming Korean original series Tempest. It’s already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious K-dramas ever produced. Featuring a powerhouse cast that includes Gianna Jun, Gang Dongwon, and John Cho. Tempest launches with a three-episode premiere September 10 on both Hulu and Disney+.

A Spy Thriller with Global Reach

Tempest follows Seo Munju (Gianna Jun), a former diplomat pulled back into action after an assassination attempt rocks the South Korean presidential race. The target? A candidate accused of being a North Korean spy. What begins as a political scandal quickly escalates into a deadly conspiracy involving rogue states, covert ops, and ties reaching all the way to Washington, D.C.

Munju’s only ally is mercenary-for-hire Paik Sanho (Gang Dongwon), whose protection comes with questions of its own. With shadowy enemies closing in and betrayals around every corner, the pair must navigate a maze of deception, power plays, and high-tech espionage.
