Disney is lighting up the grid with a first look at TRON: Ares! The long-awaited third chapter in the iconic sci-fi franchise, set to hit theaters on October 10. The all-new trailer and poster give fans their first glimpse at a bold new digital frontier. As well as a dangerous new mission that will take the world of TRON where it’s never gone before.
Nine Inch Nails Makes Their TRON Debut
In a move as unexpected as it is electrifying, Grammy-winning legends Nine Inch Nails are scoring TRON: Ares with an original soundtrack. The band dropped their first single in five years, “As Alive As You Need Me To Be,” which debuts today alongside the trailer. The track blends haunting synths and industrial power, setting the tone for a darker, edgier take on the TRON universe.

The full album, TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), drops September 19 via Interscope Records. Though bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have built a celebrated career as composers, this marks Nine Inch Nails’ first official film score under their band name.
The Story Expands Beyond the Grid
Directed by Joachim Rønning, TRON: Ares stars Jared Leto as Ares, a highly advanced program sent from the digital world into reality on a mission that could change everything we know about AI. For the first time, the lines between humanity and machine will blur as TRON crosses into the real world.
