Labyrinth is officially headed to North American theaters, and it is not a long rollout. GKIDS has acquired the rights to legendary animator Shoji Kawamori’s first original feature-length anime as a director, and it is getting a special two-night-only theatrical event on May 10 and May 11, with showtimes offered in Japanese with English subtitles and in an English-dubbed version.

It is a bold, original feature from SANZIGEN that blends pop energy, sci-fi edge, and a very real fear: losing control of your own life to the version of you that the internet rewards.
SUZUKA of Atarashii Gakko! Leads a Cast Made for Anime and Music Fans
The film stars SUZUKA from global girl group ATARASHII GAKKO! in her voice acting debut as Shiori Maezawa. Alongside her are Taizo Harada as Komori and Takuto Teranishi from timelesz as Suguru Kagami.

ATARASHII GAKKO! also performs the theme song “Sailor, Sail On,” with additional music by yonkey, which makes this feel like an anime event that is going to hit just as hard in your headphones as it does on the big screen.

GKIDS is releasing Labyrinth in theaters for two nights only on May 10 and May 11. The film runs 115 minutes and is currently Not Rated, so check local listings for the showtime format in your area, since screenings are slated for both Japanese with English subtitles and an English-dubbed option.
