With Daymond John’s new book Rise and Grind: Out-Perform, Out Work, and Out-Hustle Your Way to a more Successful and Rewarding Life coming out tomorrow, I thought it’d be a good idea to start my Audibly Listening reviews with John’s previous book.
The Power of Broke is an inspirational book, by Daymond John and Daniel Paisner. It shares the stories of 15 entrepreneurs, including Steve Aoki, Gary V., and Rob Dydrek. All of them started out with a passion and grew it into a brand using The Power of Broke.
The Audible version is read by Sway, and features a conversation with Sway and Daymond John after the book. The conversation covers John’s thoughts, motivations, and lessons that are in the book and outside of it.
The book is a general recounting of some of today’s most successful entrepreneurs who utilized the power of “being broke” to pursue their passions and build their brands.
