Prime Video just dropped the official teaser trailer and locked in the premiere date for Spider-Noir! And the hook is instantly irresistible. Nicolas Cage steps into his first leading television role as Ben Reilly, a weathered private investigator in 1930s New York whose old life as the city’s only superhero refuses to stay buried.
Two Ways to Watch Spider-Noir, One Very Stylish Mystery
What makes Spider-Noir feel like an event from the jump is the built-in “choose your own vibe” viewing experience. When the series launches, audiences can stream it in “Authentic Black & White.” Or switch to “True-Hue Full Color,” letting you decide whether you want full classic noir mood or a punchier modern palette.
A Spider-Man Story Built for Shadows
Based on Marvel’s Spider-Man Noir comics, the series centers on Ben Reilly, a down-on-his-luck detective forced back into action after a deeply personal tragedy.
The setting leans hard into smoky streets, secrets, and the kind of danger that never stays in one alley for long. This is exactly why this version of Spider-Man feels so different from anything else on screen right now.
A Stacked Cast and Serious Creative Firepower

Cage leads a cast that includes Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola, Jack Huston, and Brendan Gleeson. Plus a long list of guest stars rounding out the world. Behind the camera, Harry Bradbeer directs and executive produces the first two episodes, while Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.

The series is also developed with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the Academy Award-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
