Wizards of the Coast has launched Secret Lair x The Hobbit: A Marvelous Mathoms Superdrop, featuring five limited drops inspired by the beloved fantasy adventure. The collection follows Bilbo from cozy meals in the Shire to riddles, Trolls, treasure, and the terrifying fire of Smaug.
Bilbo Disappears With a Brand-New Foil Treatment
He Who Walks Unseen follows Bilbo through moments when vanishing does not necessarily keep him out of trouble. The five-card drop includes Arcane Heist, Contentious Plan, Curiosity, Solve the Equation, and Windfall.
This drop is available exclusively in the new Out of Sight edition. The specialized foil treatment emphasizes Bilbo’s outline within each scene, creating a visual effect worthy of a certain magical ring. It costs $59.99, making it the premium centerpiece of the Superdrop.
Seven Hobbit Meals Become Seven Food Tokens in this Secret Lair
Second Breakfast and Beyond celebrates the Hobbit tradition of never letting an adventure interfere with a carefully planned meal. The drop includes seven Food tokens representing breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper.

The tokens may not build an entire deck by themselves, but they bring plenty of flavor to Food strategies. Frankly, any Commander deck becomes more respectable once it acknowledges the importance of Elevenses.
Bilbo’s Journey Gets a Handmade Fantasy Makeover
Over the Edge of the Wild sends Bilbo beyond the Shire with artwork inspired by mid-century stop-motion television specials. Its playful, handcrafted aesthetic transforms Trolls, spiders, strange forests, and unexpected gatherings into something wonderfully nostalgic.
The drop includes Cloudshift, Stony Silence, Imp’s Mischief, and Seize the Spoils. Tocasia’s Welcome also appears under the flavorful title “Quite a Merry Gathering.”
Smaug Adds Familiar Artifacts to His Hoard in this Secret Lair
Smaug’s Spoils imagines several recognizable Magic artifacts buried beneath the Lonely Mountain. The collection includes Lightning Greaves, Liquimetal Torque, Sol Ring, and Thought Vessel. Fellwar Stone becomes “Erebor Heirloom,” giving the Commander staple a Dwarven makeover.
This may be the Superdrop’s most immediately useful collection for Commander players. Apparently, even Smaug understands the importance of mana rocks and keeping a full hand.
Heavy Metal Descends on the Lonely Mountain
Desolation explores the darkest parts of The Hobbit through intense, metal-inspired artwork. Fire, ruin, death, and confrontation replace the comforts of Bag End as Bilbo’s journey reaches its most dangerous moments.
The five-card lineup includes Defile, Diabolic Intent, Dread Return, Mirkwood Bats, and Read the Bones. That combination delivers strong graveyard support, removal, tutoring, and one particularly nasty payoff for token decks.
Secret Lair x The Hobbit: A Marvelous Mathoms Superdrop is available now through the Secret Lair storefront. He Who Walks Unseen costs $59.99 in its exclusive Out of Sight treatment.
