TIME CRISIS Turns 30 With G’AIM’E World Championship 2026

TIME CRISIS is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a global competition built for fast hands and arcade bragging rights. G’AIM’E has announced the first-ever G’AIM’E World Championship 2026, giving players around the world a shot at proving they have the fastest clear times in TIME CRISIS. The online tournament features two divisions, “Enjoy” and “Athlete,” so both casual players and sharper shooters have a lane to compete in.

Aiming for the Fastest Time Crisis Time in the World

The setup sounds simple, but the challenge should push players hard. The Enjoy division asks players to clear Stage 1 and submit a photo showing their final time with the G’AIM’E Lightgun visible. The Athlete division raises the stakes by requiring players to clear all three stages and post a 20-second gameplay video recorded at the final stage completion, again with the G’AIM’E Lightgun visible. Players can enter both divisions at the same time, which should make the leaderboards even more competitive.

G’AIM’E will run the competition through X and Instagram, with weekly rankings posted every Thursday. Entrants need to follow the required social accounts, repost the opening announcement, and include the correct hashtag with their submission. The Enjoy division uses #GWC2026E, while the Athlete division uses #GWC2026A. Each entry also needs a country flag emoji and the player’s handle name.

The prize pool gives the contest real juice. The top three players in each division will receive commemorative gold, silver, and bronze medals made for GWC2026 and the 30th anniversary of TIME CRISIS. Gold medalists in both the Enjoy and Athlete divisions will also receive $500 Amazon vouchers, while three additional participants from across both divisions will get $300 Amazon vouchers.

There is also a special participation prize for people who engage online even if they do not own the game. Three winners will receive a TIME CRISIS 30th anniversary commemorative coin and coaster set. Players without their own copy of G’AIM’E × TIME CRISIS can also join through in-store demo units where available, though demo participation is limited to the Enjoy division.

The G’AIM’E World Championship 2026 begins March 14 and runs through April 12 in Japan time. In the U.S., the event opens on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST and ends on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 8:00 PM EST. Players can enter through X or Instagram using their G’AIM’E Lightgun and the required event hashtags.
