Hasbro and Nintendo Team Up for The Legend of Zelda Toys

Hasbro is heading to Hyrule. The company has announced a new licensing partnership with Nintendo to create toys based on The Legend of Zelda, with the multi-year collaboration beginning in 2027. The first look arrives even sooner, as Hasbro will reveal three 6-inch scale figures at San Diego Comic-Con from July 23 through July 26.

The Legend of Zelda Finally Gets the Hasbro Treatment

This is a big one for collectors. Hasbro already has deep experience with action figures, role-play items, and fan-focused toy lines. Pairing that with one of Nintendo’s most beloved franchises feels like a natural next step.

The Legend of Zelda has been a cornerstone of gaming since its first U.S. release in 1987. The series has always blended exploration, action, puzzle-solving, and mythic adventure. Link and Zelda’s eternal battle against Ganondorf has also given fans decades of iconic designs that feel ready for premium toy treatment.

The partnership will officially begin in 2027, but fans will not have to wait that long for a first look. Hasbro will reveal three 6-inch scale figures during San Diego Comic-Con next week.

That 6-inch scale detail should immediately catch collectors’ attention. It suggests these figures could fit nicely into the modern collector space, where articulation, accessories, display options, and character accuracy matter. Hasbro has not announced the characters yet, but let us be honest. Everyone is already thinking about Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf.

Hyrule Is Built for Toys

Billy Lagor, President of Toys and Board Games at Hasbro, said the collaboration combines Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play. That is exactly the promise fans want to hear, because The Legend of Zelda is packed with weapons, items, costumes, creatures, and locations that could translate beautifully into toys.

The Master Sword, Hylian Shield, bows, masks, tunics, monsters, and magical artifacts are all part of the franchise’s identity. A strong Hasbro line could go far beyond basic figures. It could become a full collector world for fans who have wanted more physical releases on shelves.

A Major Collector Partnership Begins

This announcement also feels important because Nintendo does not hand out major toy partnerships casually. A multi-year Hasbro collaboration signals a serious push for The Legend of Zelda as a toy brand.

The timing also makes sense. Zelda remains one of gaming’s most recognizable and respected franchises, and the collector market keeps growing. With the first reveals coming at SDCC, Hasbro and Nintendo are clearly starting this partnership in front of the right crowd.

Hasbro’s The Legend of Zelda toy line begins in 2027. The first three 6-inch scale figures will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, which runs July 23 through July 26, 2026.
