Something is moving in the corn, and it appears to be eight wildly different Secret Lair drops. Wizards of the Coast has announced Secret Lair: Corn Maze Superdrop, an eclectic October release spanning three collections inspired by Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters, the ravenous heroes of Marvel Zombies, experimental artist showcases, industrial artifact lands, and some extremely relaxed Treefolk. The limited Superdrop enters the Secret Lair storefront on October 12.
Three Labyrinth Drops Enter the Corn Maze
Jim Henson’s beloved fantasy film receives three complete drops covering its characters, unforgettable locations, and the wonderfully theatrical Goblin King.
Secret Lair x Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Should You Need Us gathers the companions who help Sarah navigate the maze. Jodah, the Unifier becomes “Sarah, Champion to the Lost,” giving her an appropriately colorful identity for bringing an unlikely group together.
Kogla, the Titan Ape becomes Ludo, while Wort, Boggart Auntie appears as Hoggle. Shigeki, Jukai Visionary transforms into the Wiseman, Kami of the Crescent Moon becomes the Worm, and Lu Xun, Scholar General represents Sir Didymus and his loyal companion Ambrosius.
Sarah’s artwork also connects with Jareth, Goblin King from the accompanying Fear Me, Love Me drop. Displayed together, the two cards create a larger scene capturing their climactic confrontation.
Jareth Calls Out the Goblins
Secret Lair x Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Fear Me, Love Me places Jareth and his goblin subjects under the dramatic lighting they deserve. Muxus, Goblin Grandee becomes “Jareth, Goblin King,” turning one of Magic’s strongest Goblin commanders into the ruler of the Labyrinth.
Boggart Shenanigans becomes “Call Out the Goblins!” and Dance with Calamity receives the new title “Dance with Goblins.” Goblin Rabblemaster represents the Goblin Cradle-Thieves, while Claim the Firstborn depicts Toby’s kidnapping.
Trinisphere completes the collection as “I’ve Brought You a Gift,” transforming one of Magic’s most infamous artifacts into Jareth’s crystal. It is beautiful, mysterious, and likely to make everyone else at the table deeply unhappy.
The Castle Is Further Than You Think
Through the Labyrinth follows Sarah into the maze itself with seven fully illustrated cards based on its strangest rooms, dangerous inhabitants, and deeply unhelpful directions.
Timely Ward becomes “Rescue in the 13th Hour,” Chronomantic Escape represents Sarah falling under Jareth’s spell, and Delayed Blast Fireball unleashes the chaotic Fireys. Tempt with Discovery becomes “The Goblin King’s Offer,” while Rogue’s Passage depicts the unforgettable Shaft of Hands.
Planar Temporal Gateway transforms into the Doors of Indecision. Leveler completes the journey as the Cleaners, proving there are significantly worse things to encounter in a maze than another dead end.
KPop Demon Hunters Seals the Honmoon
Secret Lair x KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done brings the animated phenomenon’s music, friendship, supernatural battles, and stadium-sized energy to seven cards.
The drop includes Dawn’s Truce, Unbreakable Formation, Freed from the Real, Swan Song, Demonic Counsel, Tempt with Immortality, and Underworld Breach. Together, the cards capture the struggle to protect the Honmoon while leaving room for HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys to command the spotlight.
Wizards is already teasing that this might not be their final Secret Lair appearance. Considering how quickly the film became a global phenomenon, another encore feels almost inevitable.
Marvel’s Heroes Develop a Terrible Hunger in the Corn Maze
Secret Lair x Marvel: Zombies transforms familiar Super Heroes into undead threats that remain powerful, recognizable, and significantly more interested in eating everyone.
God-Eternal Bontu becomes Zombie Thor, Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver appears as Zombie Captain America, and Varina, Lich Queen transforms into Zombie Scarlet Witch. Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant becomes Zombie Giant-Man, giving the collection one particularly enormous appetite.
Unstoppable Slasher and Zombie Apocalypse complete the six-card drop. The result replaces heroic spectacle with an undead takeover built for Zombie kindred decks.
Veronique Meignaud Begins a Dark Ritual
Artist Series: Veronique Meignaud explores sacrifice and transformation through the artist’s haunting, fluid style. The mono-black collection includes Bloodsoaked Champion, Ashnod’s Altar, and Cabal Stronghold.
Voldaren Pariah also appears as a double-faced card alongside Abolisher of Bloodlines. The artwork makes the entire collection feel like players have arrived midway through a ritual that probably should have been stopped several turns ago.
See Machine Rebuilds Mirrodin
Manufactured Grounds by See Machine reimagines five Mirrodin artifact lands through a stark industrial aesthetic filled with bold shapes and heavy contrasts.
The drop includes Ancient Den, Seat of the Synod, Vault of Whispers, Great Furnace, and Tree of Tales. These constructed environments should give artifact decks a unified visual identity while making the familiar lands feel like parts of a much larger machine.
Treefolk Find Peace, Love, and Enormous Toughness
Peace, Love, & Treefolk brings Ashley Dreyfus’s colorful style to five Treefolk kindred cards. The custom frames and playful artwork combine the feeling of a 1970s sticker book with contemporary pop art.
Dauntless Dourbark, Leaf-Crowned Elder, Timber Protector, and Treefolk Harbinger join Doran, the Siege Tower in the collection. The drop may look friendly and relaxed, but Doran can still turn those enormous toughness values into a very serious problem.
The Corn Maze Opens October 12
Every Corn Maze Superdrop collection will cost $29.99 in non-foil or $39.99 in traditional foil. All eight limited drops enter the Secret Lair storefront on October 12 at 9:00 a.m. PT and will remain available while supplies last.
Customers will also receive an exclusive foil Maze of Ith for every $199 spent while promotional supplies remain. Reimagined as “The Labyrinth,” the promo may be the most brilliantly inevitable card choice in the entire Superdrop.
