A Big Screen Send Off for the Straw Hats

Netflix is bringing the first two episodes of One Piece: Into the Grand Line Season 2 to select theaters on March 10, timed to the global premiere on Netflix. These fan screenings roll out across more than 200 theaters in the United States, Canada, and Japan, with showings in the United States and Canada set for 6 p.m. local time.

When Tickets Go Live and Where to Watch

Tickets for the United States and Canada go on sale Thursday, Feb. 26 at 8 a.m. PT and 11 a.m. ET. The event spans major chains including AMC, Regal, Cinemark, Alamo, and Cineplex, with additional theaters participating in Canada and Japan.

Plots: With his straw hat and ragtag crew, young pirate Monkey D. Luffy goes on an epic voyage for treasure. An alternate version of Earth, and one that is currently in the midst of the ‘Golden Age of Pirates’. Ruthless cut-throat pirates rule the seas, and only the strongest have the chance to lay claim to the mythical treasure known as ‘One Piece’ that was left behind by the greatest pirate of them all Gold Roger. Years after the death of Gold Roger, a young boy by the name of Monkey D. Luffy has dreams of raising his own crew, finding One Piece, and declaring himself as Pirate King. After eating a devil fruit that grants Luffy the power to make his body like rubber, it gives him enormous strength and agility. When Luffy finally comes of age, he sets sail from Foosha Village in East Blue and sets upon his grand adventure to become the next Pirate King. 22 years ago the Pirate King Gold Roger was executed. Immediately before his death he announced that his vast amassed fortune is hidden in a single location and is there for the taking. This launched hordes of new pirate crews as everyone set out to find the treasure. Now, 22 years later, piracy is a still a popular occupation but the treasure still hasn’t been found. One person determined to find it and be King of the Pirates is Monkey D Luffy. He has no crew or ship but has unwavering self-confidence and optimism and a unique ability.
