Wizards of the Coast revealed A Perfectly Normal Superdrop during MagicCon: Amsterdam, and absolutely nothing about it is normal. The September release contains eight Secret Lair drops spanning Marvel pets, romantic comic covers, Hulk destruction, Lofi Girl, and three distinctive artist showcases. It is an eclectic celebration of how dramatically new artwork can transform familiar Magic: The Gathering cards.
Every drop will be available in foil for $39.99 or non-foil for $29.99 while supplies last. The wonderfully eclectic collection goes on sale August 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT through the Secret Lair storefront.

The Pet Avengers Assemble in A Perfectly Normal Superdrop
Secret Lair x Marvel: Earth’s Mightiest Pets celebrates Lockjaw, Jeff the Land Shark, Throg, Lockheed, and Devil Dinosaur across six cards. These pets may be amphibious, prehistoric, enormous, or technically a shark, but they are all doing their best.
Throg brings the thunder to Lightning Bolt, while Jeff naturally takes over Shark Typhoon. The complete drop includes Commune with Dinosaurs, Lightning Bolt, Searing Blaze, Shark Typhoon, Ephemerate, and Titanic Ultimatum.
Marvel Couples Get Their Own Romance Covers
Secret Lair x Marvel: True Believers in Love transforms six cards into wonderfully dramatic romance-comic covers. Rogue and Gambit appear on Thrill of Possibility, while Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter share Savor the Moment.

The collection also features Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters, Wiccan and Hulkling, and two figures whose relationship may be slightly less healthy than the others. Thanos courts Death on Grave Pact, proving that some romances are more one-sided than others.
Happily Ever After, True Love’s Kiss, Run Away Together, Savor the Moment, Grave Pact, and Thrill of Possibility complete the drop. Some relationships are sweet. Some are tragic. Love contains multitudes.
Hulk Smashes Through Five Reprints
Secret Lair x Marvel: Hulk SMASH! explores different eras and identities of Marvel’s green powerhouse through artwork from Marvel Comics artists. Classic Hulk, Planet Hulk, Joe Fixit, and Bruce Banner’s transformation all receive their own moments.
The drop includes Unnatural Growth, Anger, Gratuitous Violence, and Search for Tomorrow. Rishkar’s Expertise also becomes Joe Fixit’s Expertise, giving Hulk’s gray alter ego a card of his own.

The selections capture Hulk’s strength, rage, transformation, and complicated search for peace. More importantly, Gratuitous Violence has rarely felt this literal.
Dan Hipp Gives Marvel a Colorful Makeover
Secret Lair x Marvel: Dan Hipp brings the artist’s instantly recognizable style to Doctor Strange, Professor X, Wolverine, Mister Sinister, and Man-Thing.
Bristly Bill, Spine Sower becomes Man-Thing, Marsh Protector, while Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder becomes Mister Sinister, Hubris Unbound. Training Grounds, Mystical Dispute, and An Offer You Can’t Refuse complete the drop.
Hipp’s vibrant colors and playful shapes fit Marvel’s larger-than-life personalities beautifully. His work should feel especially familiar to Marvel Snap players who have spent years collecting his variants.
Lofi Girl Studies the Stack
Secret Lair x Lofi Girl: Beats to Cast To 💫 turns the iconic study companion and her cozy room into five relaxing cards. Careful Study leads the collection, while Paradise Mantle becomes Cozy Headphones and Merchant Scroll becomes Grandma’s Scroll.

Felidar Guardian appears as Lofi Cat, while Starfield of Nyx becomes Snowman Starfield. Together, the cards provide everything necessary to defeat procrastination: comfortable headphones, ancient scrolls, a cat to pet, and several extremely late nights.
The entire collection looks ready to soundtrack a six-hour Commander game.
Gene Luen Yang Journeys West In A Perfectly Normal Superdrop Secret Lair
Featuring: Gene Luen Yang celebrates Journey to the West through the award-winning cartoonist’s bold character work and clean visual storytelling.
Kibo, Uktabi Prince becomes Monkey, Awakened to Emptiness. Ilharg, the Raze-Boar becomes Pigsy of the Eight Precepts, while Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs becomes Sandy, Awakened to Purity.
Dosan the Falling Leaf appears as Tripitaka, Seeker from Tang, with Quest for Renewal completing the five-card journey. The legendary group is finally together, which means there should be just enough room for wisdom, adventure, and a tremendous amount of trouble.
Robin Eisenberg Goes Cosmic
Cosmic Chill by Robin Eisenberg marks the artist’s Magic debut with five blue cards rendered through her colorful cosmic style. Glowing figures, celestial backdrops, and strange rituals make every spell look perfectly at home somewhere far beyond Earth.
The drop includes Sway of the Stars, Sage of Hours, Orvar, the All-Form, Slip Through Space, and See Double. Its surreal imagery feels especially appropriate for spells that manipulate time, space, identity, and reality.
Ian Miller Unleashes the Dragons in A Perfectly Normal Superdrop
Veteran Magic artist Ian Miller returns with four legendary creatures rendered through his intricate fantasy style. His highly detailed and surreal worlds reveal more the longer viewers study them.
Artist Series: Ian Miller includes Shivan Dragon, Tsabo Tavoc, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Animar, Soul of Elements. The lineup stretches across multiple colors and eras while giving Miller four enormous personalities to reshape.
A Perfectly Normal Sale and Command Tower Promotion
Every drop in Secret Lair: A Perfectly Normal Superdrop will be available in foil for $39.99 or non-foil for $29.99 while supplies last. The collection goes on sale August 31, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. PT through the Secret Lair storefront.
