Wizards of the Coast revealed A Perfectly Normal Superdrop during MagicCon: Amsterdam, and absolutely nothing about it is normal. The September release contains eight Secret Lair drops spanning Marvel pets, romantic comic covers, Hulk destruction, Lofi Girl, and three distinctive artist showcases. It is an eclectic celebration of how dramatically new artwork can transform familiar Magic: The Gathering cards.

The Pet Avengers Assemble in A Perfectly Normal Superdrop
Marvel Pets celebrates the heroic animals of the Marvel Universe across six cards. Throg brings the thunder to Lightning Bolt, while Jeff the Land Shark naturally takes over Shark Typhoon.
The drop includes Commune with Dinosaurs, Lightning Bolt, Searing Blaze, Shark Typhoon, Ephemerate, and Titanic Ultimatum. It puts some seriously useful spells inside a package powered almost entirely by adorable chaos.
Marvel Couples Get Their Own Romance Covers
Marvel Romance Covers transforms six cards into wonderfully dramatic romance novels. Rogue and Gambit appear on Thrill of Possibility, while Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter share Savor the Moment.

The collection also includes True Love’s Kiss, Run Away Together, Happily Ever After, and Grave Pact. That final card features Thanos courting Death, proving some relationships are more one-sided than others.
Hulk Smashes Through Five Reprints
The Hulk drop explores different sides of Marvel’s green powerhouse through Unnatural Growth, Anger, Gratuitous Violence, and Search for Tomorrow. Rishkar’s Expertise also becomes Joe Fixit’s Expertise, giving Hulk’s gray alter ego a card of his own.
The choices capture Hulk’s strength, rage, transformation, and complicated search for peace. More importantly, Gratuitous Violence has rarely felt this literal.
Dan Hipp Gives Marvel a Colorful Makeover
Dan Hipp brings his instantly recognizable style to five Marvel cards. Bristly Bill, Spine Sower becomes Man-Thing, Marsh Protector, while Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder becomes Mister Sinister, Hubris Unbound.
Training Grounds, Mystical Dispute, and An Offer You Can’t Refuse complete the drop. Hipp’s playful shapes and vibrant colors fit Marvel’s larger-than-life personalities beautifully.
Lofi Girl Studies the Stack
Secret Lair x Lofi Girl turns the iconic study companion and her cozy room into five relaxing cards. Careful Study leads the set, with Paradise Mantle becoming Cozy Headphones and Merchant Scroll becoming Grandma’s Scroll.

Felidar Guardian appears as Lofi Cat, while Starfield of Nyx becomes Snowman Starfield. The whole collection looks ready to soundtrack a six-hour Commander game.
Gene Luen Yang Journeys West In A Perfectly Normal Superdrop Secret Lair
Gene Luen Yang uses his drop to celebrate Journey to the West. Kibo, Uktabi Prince becomes Monkey, Awakened to Emptiness. Ilharg, the Raze-Boar becomes Pigsy of the Eight Precepts.
Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs becomes Sandy, Awakened to Purity. Dosan the Falling Leaf appears as Tripitaka, Seeker from Tang, with Quest for Renewal completing the five-card journey.
Robin Eisenberg Goes Cosmic
Robin Eisenberg makes her Magic debut with five blue cards presented through her colorful cosmic style. Her drop includes Sway of the Stars, Sage of Hours, Orvar, the All-Form, Slip Through Space, and See Double.
The surreal imagery feels especially fitting for spells that manipulate time, space, identity, and reality. Orvar somehow becomes even stranger, which is an achievement.
Ian Miller Unleashes the Dragons in A Perfectly Normal Superdrop
Veteran Magic artist Ian Miller returns with four legendary creatures rendered through his intricate fantasy style. The collection includes Shivan Dragon, Tsabo Tavoc, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Animar, Soul of Elements.
A Perfectly Normal Superdrop launches through the Secret Lair storefront on September 1, 2026. Wizards has not yet announced individual drop prices, foil options, bundles, or promotional cards.
